Welcome to W&T Mushrooms Ltd. We are a family run farm founded by Witold Jaroszewski in 1984. He purchased the property with a dilapidated mushroom farm with only two small growing rooms that has since grown to six 2,000 square foot rooms producing roughly 10,000 lbs per week. To produce a quality product that would meet Witold’s high expectations a Dutch Growing System was imported and installed that automates the filling and emptying process. It also controls each room’s temperature and humidity individually through a state of the art computer system.
In the past our farm has grown Oyster, Shitake, King Oyster, Maitake, Enoki and Reishi Mushrooms. We now focus on growing Cremini and Portabello mushrooms on a commercial scale, supplying the local and competitive Southern Ontario market.

Get to Know
Located just outside of Rockwood on a dead end road you will find our Mushroom Farm, with six 2,000 square foot grow rooms, picking corridor, filling corridor, cooler, storage and of course our offices. Implementing technology and custom built machinery to produce a quality mushroom is only half the battle, they still require human interaction throughout the day. Mushrooms being mostly made of water require about 45,000 liters of water per week as well the environment must stay about 24.5 Celsius for an optimal crop, there is a lot of science and experience involved in growing the perfect mushroom.
Our Portabello and Cremini mushrooms are available for local pick up on Fridays or Saturdays.
